Being a Dubai Interior Photographer, Carlton Downtown reached out to me to do a photo shoot for them for not just one hotel but 3 of their hotels.
It was a long time coming, from scheduling to preparations being done by Carlton staff for the shoot.
We started with Carlton Downtown which is in the middle of the city, fantastic location. The shot list demanded many photos of the outlets (cafe, restaurants, pool bar) so we began shooting for the outlets during the day to take advantage of the natural daylight.
As you may have seen in my similar shoots before I like to show variety in my images by displaying different and appropriate props; for the bar, I kept it simple with a beer and some tapas, the cafe shot I liked to keep it simple and portray what the offer.
The rooms got a makeover before the shoot with some new fittings and furniture; therefore doing them justice is what I wanted to achieve and I was pretty successful at it.
Carlton Downtown has a more modern look and theme compared to the other Carlton hotels. The clean look makes the rooms look fresh and upscale. I like to take different angles of the room to get the right shot, testing different exposures to see what looks best for the image.
Since I like working with natural light/available light for interior shots as much as possible here is the list of equipment I used
Stay tuned for posts of Carlton Tower and Carlton Palace.
